PlantMaster guidelines for expedient answers!

?

Most of you join us in wading through mountains of unwanted and undesirable Email messages every day. The PlantMaster is besieged with many, many junk messages that lead to the accidental deletion or misplacement of some of your questions.

In order to be sure that your messages get answered, please follow these suggestions:

1. You are on our Garden Notes list because you have requested it . If you want to remain on the list, you don't have to do anything. If you want to opt out, just tell us and we'll remove you. If you change your Email address and want to continue getting Garden Notes, send a note and we'll update your profile. IT'S IMPORTANT THAT YOU REALIZE THAT WE DON'T SHARE THIS INFORMATION WITH ANYBODY.

2. If the Subject Line is not automatically filled in, please fill it in, but avoid generalities like "Hi", "Urgent", "Help" or "Question". Try to be specific so that we can be sure to see it and that it doesn't go into our Junk Mail.

3. Text or HTML - either is OK and if you have a particularly difficult problem to describe, consider sending a photo. Make the photos no larger than 1Mb so that they download easily. This also goes for plant photos that you need identified.

A special note for people who visit our site and who write with questions - each week that we advertise, we post our ad a day or so early onto our website. If you are interested in getting a preview of what's on sale in the upcoming weekend, visit our Weekly Specials page.

Spring is Here!

Behind the scenes of our Garden Centers, we have been very busy finding great plants and products for this Spring. We'll take this opportunity to outline some of the more interesting ones that are coming.

Please enjoy this information and continue writing with your gardening questions and concerns. I'm not sure whether I'd be qualified to answer cooking questions, though. Check out the sidebar at the left for guidelines on how to make sure that The PlantMaster receives your questions.

We should also mention that now with the Cornelius Garden Club, you can receive an additional email newsletter that has coupons and additional information, including occasional advance notice of upcoming events and specials available only to Garden Club members. Click here to sign up.

Double KnockOut Roses

It was once stated by the breeder of this new Rose that had he found this before he bred 'KnockOut' that 'KnockOut' would have never made it to the market. Fully double flowers top beautifully green plants on 'Double KnockOut' that are resistant to many of the regular problems that we encounter in our gardens. Time will be the only measure of success, actually, but for now all indicators point to a real improvement in performance and beauty.

Tangerine Beauty Crossvines

Just taken in my backyard, this is one of our most hardy, native Texas vines that has been improved to what you now see. 'Tangerine Beauty' is a definite improvement of our native, but more interestingly it is our only native, evergreen, self-clinging vine along with its other kindred Crossvines. A haven for hummingbirds in areas where they remain during the early Spring, Crossvines produce an occasional flower during the year but none quite as spectacular as now.

Halo Hydrangeas

From Japan comes this beautiful collection of Hydrangeas edged in white. These beauties are heaven-sent, the varieties pictured here from left are 'Angel Lace', 'Angel Robe', 'Angel Wings', and 'Angel Smile'. The collection includes lacecaps like 'Angel Lace' and mopheads, those large, rounded blooms that are a favorite of Spring and Summer gardens. Given shade and moisture, they will perform all season long.

Come in and have a look at the beautiful plants and flowers we've assembled for you. Now's the time to refresh your garden with top dressings like compost and mulch, pick up some fertilizer or even some ladybugs for those pesky aphids, and a water-wand or two.

Enjoy your garden and let Cornelius help you be a Success in the Garden this year!
