Churches of the World
Dept. 56™ artisans and producers have been busy this year
coming up with lots of exciting new creations. One of them is a new series
of lit buildings called Churches of the World.
"Churches represent more
than just the faith and beliefs of their congregation. A powerful,
spiritual influence, the emotional connection between a person and their
place of worship is a timeless bond. Combine this with magnificent
architectural designs and it’s no wonder why many of the world’s most
significant architectural achievements are churches and cathedrals. Out of
reverence, Department 56 will craft renditions of some of the most
spectacular structures in our Churches of the World Series. “Notre
Dame Cathedral, Paris” is the first in the series. It is a lighted
porcelain façade that include New! Long Life Cordless Lighting! Historical

There will be two or three more famous church facades
introduced in December 2005.
North Pole Series - 15th Anniversary In
2005
We've been enjoying the North Pole Series for nearly 15 years
now. Dept. 56™ will be introducing five Limited to Year of
Production Special Edition North Pole Pieces. What makes these buildings
unique is that each one has a specific letter relating to its name as a gold
weathervane. For example, one building has an "S"; while another has an
"A." Combined altogether, all five buildings will spell SANTA.
The first building, Santa's Toy Company came out in
November 2004 as an early release with a numbered Special Edition limited to
10,000 pieces that were allocated to a select number of North Pole dealers.
If you weren't able to purchase these pieces from us this holiday season, please
keep checking with us or have your name put on a waiting list. There will
be a LTYOP version of Santa's Toy Company with a different colored dome
or roof that will be available in 2005.
